Why We Do Not Just Spray Every Ant Trail
Some ant treatments are designed to kill ants on contact. Others work because foraging ants carry the treatment back through the colony.
That means the best treatment method can change depending on the species, where the ants are feeding and how the colony is behaving.
In some situations, repeatedly spraying visible ants can interfere with a baiting or colony-transfer strategy.
The aim is not simply to create a line of dead ants. It is to reduce the source of the recurring activity.
