Your Venatic Cockroach Treatment in Gippsland

Venatic offers targeted treatments for the control of German Cockroaches which are the small light brown cockroaches often found in kitchen areas. German Cockroaches are easily transported and often enter the home on items of furniture and bags. Once they take up residence, these cockroaches are prolific breeders and are responsible for the spread of diseases such salmonella, hepatitis, and tuberculosis, so it is important to have them treated by a qualified pest technician quickly!

Our understanding the behaviours and biology of German Cockroaches is imperative in providing an effective treatment. Your treatment will include all accessible areas included in a general pest treatment deemed necessary and safe by the technician including roof voids, sub floors (where applicable), external walls and windows, internal skirtings, fencing and shedding.

In addition to this, the home will be treated internally where the technician deems safe and necessary to target the infestation including harbourage areas, carpeted areas, cupboards, wardrobes, and warm areas such as the kitchen. Treatment may also include a baiting program which may involve a follow up visit 2-3 weeks after the initial treatment.

When booking your pest treatment, you will be provided a copy of our pre-treatment checklist. Make sure you read this document thoroughly to ensure you get the most out of your treatment!

What to Expect from Your Cockroach Treatment

Cockroach

To be cockroach free, of course! You may notice dead cockroaches appearing for a few days after the treatment, simply vacuum these up and dispose of them, the treatment has done its job! You may see the odd dead or dying cockroach from time to time, this is a good sign the treatment is still working.

The residual life of your treatment can vary due to a number of factors such as sun exposure, cleaning surfaces and foot traffic. Generally, we recommend a preventative general pest treatment every 6-12 months to keep pest populations under control.

The products used for your treatment are designed to have maximum effectiveness in controlling German Cockroaches while maintaining the highest level of safety for your family and pets.

What Can You Do?

To give your home the best chance to avoid a cockroach infestation, housekeeping is key! Keeping your home clean and free of food sources, storing food in airtight containers and sealing cracks/cervices which may become harbourages for cockroaches is the best defence.

Unfortunately, once you have a cockroach infestation, no amount of housekeeping will send them packing, it is time to call Venatic!
