What to Expect from Your Mosquito Treatment

To see less mosquitos, of course! You will notice a dramatic decrease in numbers of Mosquitos after treatment. There are a number of factors that impact the effectiveness of treatment and length of residual control.

The largest factor we cannot control is breeding and activity in neighbouring properties which increases the pest pressure on the treatment conducted on your property.

The larger the area we can treat, the better results we will achieve so get your neighbours on board!

Typically, you can expect a decrease in numbers between 50%-100% for a period of 4-8 weeks.

It is common for customers to request a mosquito treatment in conjunction with their annual general pest treatment, particularly in peak mosquito periods.

The products used for your treatment are designed to have maximum effectiveness in controlling spiders while maintaining the highest level of safety for your family and pets.

What Can You Do?

Mosquitos can breed in the smallest amount of standing water. It is important to clean out things like pet bowls, bird baths, kids pools and stock troughs at least every 2-3 days and remove any other sources of standing water such as old tyres or buckets collecting water in the yard.

Another effective measure of keeping mosquito numbers down is by removing harbourages by keeping grass cut short and pruning of shrubs, bushes trees.

There are also a number of DIY options to help deter mosquitos such as fans, traps, burning mosquito coils and candles, bug zappers. All of these DIY options do offer some relief, however, rely on mosquitos coming into or close to your building. To ensure populations are kept down, the prevention measures above in conjunction with our misting service is the most effective method of getting numbers down and keeping them down.
