Your Venatic Ant Treatment in Gippsland

Ants live in very large colonies, which means for every ant you see around your home, there are many more to replace them. Ants are social insects with behaviours that differ between species and must be treated with a targeted approach to ensure total control of the colony. For this reason, a general pest treatment for spiders and native cockroaches is ineffective in controlling ant infestations.

Your Venatic Ant treatment involves an integrated and targeted approach developed from our knowledge of ant behaviours and tailored to your unique situation to completely eradicate the nest to prevent future infestations.

Your treatment will include all accessible areas deemed necessary and safe by the technician including roof voids, sub floors (where applicable), external walls and windows, internal skirtings, fencing, shedding, lawn areas, your clothesline and even your letterbox.

Ant treatments also involve implementation of baiting strategies designed to eradicate the nest which may involve a follow up visits 2-4 weeks after the initial treatment which is included in your free service period.

When booking your pest treatment, you will be provided a copy of our pre-treatment checklist.

Make sure you read this document thoroughly to ensure you get the most out of your treatment!

What to Expect from Your Ant Treatment

Black House Ant

To be ant free, of course! You will notice a dramatic decrease in ant population within a few days of your treatment with numbers continuing to decrease over the next 30 days.

The residual life of your treatment can vary due to a number of factors such as rain, sun exposure and foot traffic. Generally, we recommend a preventative general pest treatment every 6-12 months to keep pest populations under control.

The products used for your treatment are designed to have maximum effectiveness in controlling ants while maintaining the highest level of safety for your family and pets.

What Can You Do?

Preventative measures in the garden include trimming back vegetation in contact with your home and treating sap sucking pests such as aphids which attract sugar feeding ants.

Inside the home, general good hygiene such as cleaning up spills and food waste immediately, keeping a lid on the bin and storing food in airtight containers (especially the sweet stuff!).

There are many DIY ant treatments available however, most have little effect in controlling the colony and eradicating the nest which means the ants will inevitably return.

Ants are smart insects and will find any weakness in a treatment and exploit it. If ants have taken up residence in your home, call Venatic for peace of mind!
