To be rodent free, of course! In cases of high rodent pressure, it can take 3-4 weeks to gain control of the infestation and will likely require our technicians to return to monitor and replenish baits.

Your rodent management plan cannot prevent rodents entering your property, however, a well maintained and implemented rodent management plan will prevent rodents from taking up residence in your home.

Some of our customers schedule their rodent treatment annually with their spider and ant treatment for an all-round preventative pest treatment.

The products used for your treatment are administered inside a lockable rodent station to ensure they cannot be accessed by children, pets or other non-target animals. Our technicians will also endeavour to place rodent stations in inconspicuous areas wherever possible such as behind air conditioning units.

What Can You Do?

Good housekeeping is a great preventative measure for rodents. Overgrown vegetation provides rodents with shelter and branches overhanging the roof of your home provides them easy access to the roof space. Rubbish and clutter in and around the home provides rodents a sense of security and a place for them to harbour.

There are a number of options for DIY rodent control, studies have found the ultra-sonic repellent devices to have limited effect. While tapping may be successful on the odd brazen and foolish rodent, the majority of rodents, particularly rats tend to be more cautious.

This leave baiting as the most viable option for management of rodents. Many people are averse to baiting for numerous reasons however, the fact is rodents will not simply move out on their own and if left to take up residence and multiply they can cause serious issues to your health and in your home. The safest and most effective method of rodent control is to engage a professional to implement a rodent management plan that is safe for your pets and family and targeted to prevent rodents from taking up residence in your home!
